The Institute of medical sciences and SUM hospital was founded in 2005 with the aim to educate and train young minds for the medical course of MBBS. Adding to this, the hospital has several multi specialty modalities like dialysis, CT scan, MRI, Cath Lab, ICU, ICCU, NICU, PICU that overall integrate to form one of the best hospitals in the state.

SUM hospital  Bhubaneswar has a huge infrastructure along with 750 beds, 25 beds for intensive care and 150 cabins. This large number of patient capacity helps the students to get the most from the hands-on experience. Apart from these, there are several research centres that add to its infrastructure.
