In order to complete the mission of providing medical treatment to every level of the society, the
hospital takes initiatives to carry out health care programs. The aim of these programs is the
development of the poor to create a disease-free society. As an outreach program, they help in
taking the treatment all the way to the doorstep of the poor and underprivileged.
To achieve the goal of the outreach program, camps are set in rural areas of Maharashtra, Dadra
and Nagar Haveli and Gujarat each and every year. The program brings along people who
specialise in different areas of treatment and diseases that are more prevalent in that area.
Therefore, the people are able to get the best of the medical treatment possible.
On screening of all the patients in the camp, if a patient with higher needs or a need for surgery
is encountered, then it is brought back to the hospital for further treatment. The hospital bears
most of the cost of the treatment and therefore the patient has only the minimal cost that needs to
be beared.
As a part of the outreach program, the hospital also undertakes a Health awareness and screening
camps that are conducted for people living in slums. The aim here is to educate the nomadic
population of labourers and other occupations about the simple first aid treatment and provide
medical treatment to the needy.
The hospital also started a program in 2006 that provides free or subsidized training to girls
belonging to lower socioeconomic strata of society. This training is for their employment as
health care workers at home and hospitals. These students are provided with the basic necessities
during the 2 year program.
